Robbie Hockley (Swing Zing Instructor)

When Robbie stumbled across the Perth swing scene, he found himself hopelessly addicted to the fun and frivolity of swing. Like a true addict, he progressed quickly, and joined the Swing Zing teaching team in 2008. Robbie has always had a fascination for any music with a horn section that just makes you want to dance, and loves the infectious rhythm of swing music.

When not on the dance floor, you may find Robbie skipping along the paths of Edith Cowan University where he studies Human Biology, or else hanging precariously from a rock climbing wall. Robbie loves to share his passion for swing, and aims to draw all his students into his addiction for the dance. "I can see that swing dancing will be a life-long passion for me. The more I dance, the more I realise it's barely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to swing! There is so much out there that I want to learn and pass on to others, to help this fun-loving, social and exciting dance swell to epic proportions."
